Empowering Remote Attractions with QR Code Ticketing – No Power Required
Tourist attractions, such as downhill trails, are increasingly being developed in remote locations, far from basic infrastructure. To create a controlled offering even in these environments without power supply, COYERO leverages the smartphones that almost everyone carries nowadays. All that is needed is a printed QR code displayed in a visible location. Guests simply scan this code to access ticket sales via the COYERO app. This allows operators, for the first time, to get information on how frequently their attraction is visited without additional personnel. If discrepancies arise, the validity of guests’ tickets can be spot-checked at any time using the Mobile Terminal App.
Tickets can be redeemed with a terminal app; if there is no terminal app, you obtain a ticket from the merchant. The QR code contains information about the merchant, shop, and product, making it redeemable and verifiable for validity. Similar to POI rather than POS, this helps collect data on visit frequency. Bonus cards can also be redeemed with a QR code in the shop, eliminating the need for multiple machines for merchants.
